The Breakdown

We believe the coach shouldn’t be the best player on the team, but the best leader on the field.

What is CrossFit Breakdown?

CrossFit is a fitness regimen based on the core functional movements in life. These movements reflect aspects of gymnastics, weightlifting, running, rowing and more. While CrossFit challenges the world’s fittest, the program is designed for universal scalability and ANYONE can do it! Regardless of capability we all need the same kind of core training only varying in intensity.

We truly breakdown all the barriers and misconceptions surrounding CrossFit by providing motivating programs at any level that will improve your fitness and health.

Who we are

As a group, we’re parents and grandparents, college students and kids.  Some of us don’t really even like to workout but we like the way we feel when we do. Some of us are strong and fit and flexible and some of us are getting there.

At our CrossFit gym we don’t have set class times, we have options. You’re never late for your class. We support and encourage you and celebrate your milestones. You’re never left on your own to try and figure it out. You’re coached by people who WANT to see you succeed, and want your success to surpass their own.

What makes Crossfit so different?

CrossFit is constantly varied functional movements performed at relatively high intensity. All CrossFit workouts are based on functional movements, and these movements reflect the best aspects of gymnastics, weightlifting, running, rowing and more.

These are the core movements of life. They move the largest loads the longest distances, so they are ideal for maximizing the amount of work done in the shortest time. Intensity is essential for results and is measurable as work divided by time—or power.

The more work you do in less time, or the higher the power output, the more intense the effort. By employing a constantly varied approach to training, functional movements and intensity lead to dramatic gains in fitness.
